You may know him as Mr. D, or Damian, or just ‘D’. He’s been doing his thing behind a microphone since he was 17 years old. His radio career began in his hometown of Toronto and has taken him to Calgary, Ottawa, Cornwall and Hamilton. However, a big piece of his heart has always remained in Southwestern Ontario and is very excited to return ‘home’.Mr. D is one of the station’s O.G.’s (or ‘Originals’). He began working at THE BEAT in the Fall of 2005 and hosted the evening show until January 2014, before leaving to work at our sister station in Ottawa. He returned to THE BEAT on air in October of 2019 to host the evening show once again. He was also behind the mic for the Saturday night mixshow, ‘TURN UP!’, and the Ontario-wide evening show, ‘@ NIGHT with Mr. D’. Now, after more than 20 years of being the big voice on the radio at night across Ontario, Mr. D is very excited to bring his infectious energy to the midday show (weekdays from 10 AM to 2 PM) on 91.5 THE BEAT. He’s still adjusting to the daytime hours. Not so easy for a ‘Night Owl’.When D is out of the studio, he enjoys taking road trips, playing video games and exploring new and fun spots with his wife and son. You may also find him cheering on one of his beloved Toronto sports teams at a stadium or arena near you. Just look for the guy wearing a fitted ball cap and a jersey with ‘Mr. D’ on the back.
