We’re following up with Beat listeners to see how they made out after they sent in their questions to us – and you – for help. Every Friday, it’s a Follow-Up Friday on the Beat Breakfast Panel.
Okay so I have been wanting to write in for the longest time but I have finally had enough and need some advice or something because I am losing my mind. My partner and I have a roommate that lives with us and I can’t stand him. (My boyfriend and roommate are friends). Anyway, he comes home everyday and puts his dirty bare feet on the coffee table, eats chips as loud as possible and also plays video games and yells and swears at the TV so loud I can hear it across the house. Not to mention he has used my towel, doesn’t buy his own toiletries and uses ours.
No matter how hard I try, everything this person does bugs me to no end. I don’t know what to do anymore because at this point I feel like ripping my hair out. I also hate cleaning up after two grown men!!!! I need some advice on how to deal with this/handle it. -I Need Help!
Hello! I have talked with my boyfriend this week about this situation. He said he would talk to the roommate and some things have improved (like not using my toiletries). I read the comments on Facebook and just wanted to clarify that we all have had this conversation BEFORE he moved in. I also just wanted to clarify that it was just my partner and I before his friend moved in with us (which I think makes all of this even more frustrating. He seems more of a guest than a roommate because of this). I try not to look for reasons to not like this guy but I can’t help it! We are all relatively young still (early 20’s) and this is the first time I am living with my boyfriend on our own which is also a reason why I think everything is bugging me 10 times more. This guy has absolutely no filter and will say absolutely anything that pops into his head. I should have written more in detail before hand to make it not look like I was making a big deal out of nothing! But I am glad for the the comments. Thank You! -I Need Help!
