Space with Vase - Supermoon and new (to us) Galaxies

What a day/night for space!

First of all, a team of 200 scientists uncovered 300,000 new galaxies. Yes you read that right.

How did they do it? Low-Frequency Array (LOFAR) telescope in the Netherlands AKA low frequency radio waves because these galaxies were undetectable with other optical equipment

I don’t know about you but my tiny pea brain can barely comprehend the size of the universe as it is now – let alone finding more galaxies with radio waves

Tonight is also a supermoon! The difference between a supermoon and a fullmoon is (insert joke here) the distance from earth. The moon will look about 10% bigger because it is closer to the earth tonight
