ANNUAL DRESS DAY EVENT OUTFITS YOUNG WOMEN IN NEED WITH DRESSES, SHOES, AND ACCESSORIES FOR PROM AND GRADUATION
The Kitchener Waterloo Princess Project collects and donates gently used dresses, shoes, and accessories and donates them to young women in the tri-cities through their annual Dress Day Event taking place April 24th and 25th from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Kitchener Public Library located at 85 Queen Street North, in Kitchener.
Each year, the Princess Project outfits hundreds of young women who are in need of a dress for their prom or graduation. The Princess Project helps relieve some of the burden of the overwhelming prom and graduation costs for families, and allows young people the opportunity to partake in these important milestone events.
Since its humble beginning in 2011, The KW Princess Project has outfitted over 500 young women in the tri-cities for prom, semi-formal, and graduation. The Kitchener Waterloo Princess Project collects gently used and new prom, semi-formal, and graduation dresses, shoes, and accessories and makes them available to young women in our community, who otherwise couldn’t afford these items.
Prom, semi-formal, and graduation are important times in our lives, and young people should not have to miss out on these special occasions because they cannot afford a dress.
