Project 60 Plus G2G Challenge

Cambridge’s Dave Beatty had life-saving heart surgery as a boy. He survived but was told he’d ‘never run a marathon’. But at age 59, Dave has spent the last year getting fit so he could get into the best shape of his life by the time he turned 60 (September 20). To cap off his year of going from ‘fat to fit’, Dave is running the Guelph to Goderich Trail – 132 km.

He is doing it as a fundraiser with proceeds going to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada. Dave is running the trail over 3 days – basically a marathon a day! Anyone can meet up along the trail, join him for part of the run, or cheer him on – as well as donate to this worthy cause.
