Movember in KW

Movember KW is going into its 10th year and to mark this milestone they want to keep you busy throughout the month.

On Saturday, November 23rd everyone is invited to attend the Free Movember Kids KW event at Kitchener Market from 10am-Noon. Activities include face painted moustaches, moustache cooking baking, special guest appearances, including a Meet and Greet with Mayor Berry, and the always-popular photo booth. This family-friendly event is held in the Upper Marketplace Kitchen and will be the 10th Anniversary Celebration for Movember KW.

A new event for this year is the Toronto Maple Leaf Alumni Hockey Game at the Waterloo Memorial Recreation Complex on Friday, November 29th.  The former Leaf players will be hitting the ice to take on the Movember Mavericks.  It will be a fun-filled day starting with an afternoon Fun Fair beginning at 1pm and then the puck drops for the hockey game at 7:30pm.

This will be a great day for families as tickets are very affordable. In fact, children under 12 years of age are FREE!!!!!  but they must have a registered ticket.  Head to to get your tickets before they are gone! Plus, local fundraisers and sponsors could find themselves in the game.  Find the fundraising info on the ticket page and connect with the Movember Co-chairs for sponsorship information at

Movember KW is expanding to other local areas as well.  Guelph is hosting an event on November 29th.  This one is at the Wellington Brewery.  The cost is $15 for Admission or $10 Raffle ticket if you can’t make it in person.

At the end of the month, Cambridge is joining in on the Movember movement by hosting an end of Movember 2019 Gala at Ernie’s Roadhouse. This 19+ event is free to attend and will wrap up this year’s campaign with the Mo Awards for

Best Mo Bro & Sista Combo

Be sure to arrive at 8pm on Saturday, November 30th to celebrate with your local Mo Bros and Mo Sistas!

With several events to choose from, Movember KW hopes to celebrate a decade of Local MOs with everyone in community.

Men growing moustaches become walking, talking billboards for men’s health. The best part about Movember is that before a dollar is raised…1000’s of men across Canada and the world are growing moustaches and starting conversations that are changing people’s lives. This is called the “power of the moustache”. – via the Movember Foundation

We want to encourage both the men and women of Kitchener Waterloo to get involved with Movember KW this year.
