One of the most delicious events in the region is fast approaching on Friday August 9 to Sunday August 11 in Riverside Park, Cambridge.

The event boasts six award-winning ribbers from across North America competing for the “Best Ribs,” “Best Chicken,” “Best Sauce,” and “People’s Choice” awards. In addition to the best in BBQ, numerous other food vendors will be offering crowd favourites for everyone’s taste, including delicious ice cream, vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options.
That’s not all! There is a great live entertainment line-up each of the three days, plus activities for kids of all ages in the KidZone. Two beer and beverage tents will be serving up tasty beverages from Labatt’s along with a line up of selected coolers, wine, water and pop.
The Classic Car Show featuring electric vehicles and other unique cars takes place on the Saturday from 11am to 3pm. The City of Cambridge and Grand River Cycle will once again be providing Valet Bike Parking to encourage cycling to the park. There are all kinds of fun activities to check out while you are there or just stroll among the many marketplace vendors.
Cambridge Rotary Ribfest is jointly organized by volunteers from the Rotary Clubs of Cambridge Sunrise and Cambridge North as their key fund-raising event. Donations collected help fund various charities, projects and humanitarian causes that Rotary supports. Rotary organizers are expecting over 30,000 people from South-Western Ontario to attend the three-day weekend extravaganza.
