Bingemans is Continuing the Holiday Light Tradition

KITCHENER, Ont. — Kick your holiday season off with a drive through Gift of Lights at Bingemans, it’s sure to put a twinkle in everyone’s eye and be a shining star of the season.
Returning for its fifth year, Gift of Lights at Bingemans is always a spectacular event. From the comfort of their personal vehicles, families will drive through more than 2.5 km of impressive & eye-catching twinkling light displays while tuned into their FM radio to hear popular Christmas music to get into the holiday spirit.

“Due to Covid-19, this year Gift of Lights will be timed and ticketed, it’s is a great option for those who are looking to venture out in a safe and socially distant way this holiday season, limited quantities of tickets are available and must be purchased in advance” says Mark Bingeman, President of Bingemans.

Gift of Lights stretches through the Bingemans’ campground, featuring a combination of over 300 static and animated light displays, and more than one million twinkling lights. There are two impressive light tunnels, each more than 150 feet long. One of the tunnels features static lights and the other is animated, but both are guaranteed to be a glimmer of light at the end of the dark tunnel that is 2020!

The displays are open to the public beginning November 14 to January 3rd, 2021, including Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.
A single vehicle with up to eight occupants ranges from $20-$25 depending on which night you choose, while limited number of speed passes are available on peak nights and times which allows you to jump the line for an additional $10 on those peak evenings. For an added sweet treat, Christmas cookie decorating kits can be purchased in advance for only $10.
While it is normally a drive-only attraction, Bingemans will host three special walk through nights on November 29th in support of CHYM FM’s Tree of Hope campaign with Family and Children’s Service of The Waterloo Region, and another on December 17th in support of the Grand River Hospital Foundation. A final walk through night will be hosted on January 3rd in support of The Food Bank of Waterloo Region. On these special nights, guests will be permitted to walk through Gift of Lights.
Tickets will be timed and must be purchased online in advance, in order to ensure that guests are physically distanced throughout the walk. Walk night tickets are only $5.00 per person online. Pets are welcome, but must be on a leash and picked up after.
