9th Annual Freedom Ride to End MS

The 2018 Freedom Ride to End MS has joined forces with the Simcoe Muskoka Chapter bringing more riders together across Ontario together in our fight to End MS! The ride will start from both Kitchener-Waterloo’s Bingaman’s and New Lowell’s Legion.  The route will bring both groups through the picturesque scenery of the Forks of the Credit where they will meet up for lunch and the change to win some fabulous prizes including the $1000 Grand Prize!!

The Grand River Chapter assists local people living with MS, to purchase much needed mobility equipment such as wheelchairs, walkers and scooters. This expensive equipment is essential to allowing people to live independently with MS.

The Chapter also contributes money towards scientific research to find better treatment options or a cure for this debilitating disease. Great strides have been made in the last few years and we are on the thresh hold a uncovering some highly effective treatment options. An estimated 100,000 Canadians have Multiple Sclerosis. It is most often diagnosed in young adults, aged 15 to 40, effecting people during the time that they are raising children and building their careers.

MS is unpredictable, affecting vision, hearing, memory, balance and mobility. Its effects are physical, emotional, financial, and last a lifetime. There is no cure.
