The Friends of Waterloo Park invite everyone to join in for an evening of food, fun, and sing-along merriment at Waterloo Park, 125 years: a Celebration, August 19th, 2018 starting at 5:00 pm. The party’s at Waterloo Park’s Centennial Bandshell, accessed via Westmount Road North or Father David Bauer Drive.
Held almost 125 years to-the-day since Waterloo Park opened, the event will feature music, food trucks, kids activities, and a free screening (at sunset) of the sing-along version of Grease, compliments of Your Neighbourhood Credit Union.
7:00 pm when Waterloo Mayor Dave Jaworsky cuts the birthday cake!
9:00pm – Screening of Grease
The Friends’ festivities follow Open Streets’ Day of Play Instruments (live music, giant instruments, interactive activities and workshops, noon ‘til 5:00 pm, along Waterloo Park’s new Central Promenade) and will run until the film’s closing credits. Come for the Day of Play, and stay ‘til the end of day!
Bring your family, friends, neighbours, and workmates. Pack a picnic supper, or dine à-la-truck. The Friends hope to see you there!
