2nd Annual Hat Walk at Cambridge Rotary Ribfest

The 2nd Annual Hat Walk will take place Sunday, August 12th as part of this year’s Cambridge Rotary Ribfest. The Hat Walk is the passion project of Norm Steele and his team at The Steele Group who have worked tirelessly to imagine, organize and host this event. Last year, more than $10,000 was raised to support our work at the Child Witness Centre – and specifically our Child and Youth Advocate Program. We’re hoping that this year we’ll raise a total of $25,000.

Simply, these funds will ensure that more than 25 children, and their families, from our community receive the support they need at the time when most needed.

The premise of the Hat Walk: wear your silliest hat (and we’ll have some to share!), raise a bit of money, stroll through Riverside Park and reward yourself with some tasty ribs! It’s a family-friendly, fully accessible event that, along with doing a bit of always-needed fundraising, also helps us to raise our profile in Cambridge.

The walk begins at 4pm – along with families and our supporters, we’ll be joined in the walk by the Waterloo Regional Police, dignitaries and corporate teams.
