The Kitchener Kids with Cancer Run & Walk is on Saturday, September 14, 2024.
Join us for the 5 km run/walk and a 10 km run!
Kitchener Kids with Cancer Run (KKWCRun) raises money to support our local children with cancer through POGO (Pediatric Oncology Group of Ontario). To date we have raised $508,351.80!
We can’t take away the fact that during the years of therapy, the kids miss school, and parents miss work (or lose their job). We can make a difference and make things easier for them. It is our goal to help these wonderful and inspirational children keep on fighting, and thankfully, KKWCRun and POGO are making a difference.
POGO provides financial assistance to families, interlink nursing, and research into new therapies. POGO also has a satellite clinic at Grand River Hospital in Kitchener, and other community hospitals across Ontario, so that our children can receive cancer treatment and medical management closer to home. Overall survival rate of childhood cancers is 82% and POGO is available to help children put their life back together after their treatment is finished.
8:45am we start with presentations from the community.
Special Guest Speakers will be present.
9am is start of the race at Kiwanis Park in Kitchener.
Food & refreshments following the run/walk.
