The annual Pet Valu Walk for Dog Guides organized by the Mosborough Busy Busy Lions Club is in Dundas on May 26, 2024!
This event, organized on behalf of Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides, is a unique opportunity to come together and make a difference. It will take place at the Dundas Driving Park at 11 a.m. (registration is 10 a.m.).
The Pet Valu Walk for Dog Guides is a national fundraiser held in local communities in each province across Canada. It raises funds to help the Lions Foundation of Canada continue to fulfill its mission of empowering Canadians with disabilities to navigate their world with confidence and independence by providing Dog Guides at no cost to the client. From breeding to rearing and training with a lifetime of follow-up services, each Dog Guide costs $35,000 to train and place. The Foundation relies on donations to fulfill its mission and does not receive government funding.
