Community Theatre at its best !
Frank is a disillusioned English tutor in his 50’s who buries himself in his books and the bottle. Enter Rita, a feisty 26 year old hairdresser who refuses to take no for an answer as she seeks an education to better herself. The mismatched teacher and student develop a Pygmalion-type relationship within the four walls of a university office in Northern England.

Playwright Willy Russel weaves themes of change, class distinction, and self-worth with humor, affection and poignancy.
