THE POLAR EXPRESS™ Train Ride is a magical trip where Waterloo Central Railway provides service to the North Pole onboard. The magical story comes to life when the train departs the St. Jacobs Museum train platform for a one hour round-trip journey to the North Pole.
Set to the sounds of the motion picture soundtrack, passengers will relive the magic of the story as they are whisked away on THE POLAR EXPRESS™. A short pre-show inside the station will entertain ticket holders prior to boarding. Once onboard, hot chocolate and treats are served by enthusiastic, cheerful, dancing chefs as passengers read along with the classic children’s book, THE POLAR EXPRESS™, by Chris Van Allsburg.
Santa and his helpers greet passengers at the North Pole and then board the train, where everyone is given the first gift of Christmas – an authentic THE POLAR EXPRESS™ sleigh bell. Chefs aboard each car will lead passengers in singing Christmas carols for a lively return ride. Families are encouraged to wear their pyjamas for the ride!
