It all begins with A Night to Remember, starting with a moment of reflection while a bagpiper plays, Amazing Grace.” Leading into simple yet educational, informative, and inspirational speeches and introductions.
The debut song, “Cancer is a word, not a sentence” written by JamesE will begin, and everyone will rise and pay tribute to the heroes of the night as they enter the room. The heroes of the night are all the people dealing with cancer direct and indirectly. The reason for this is to admire them and let them know they are not alone.
The evening will continue with special tributes, live performances, guest speakers, a delicious meal, moments of remembrances, share your story, and three incredible awards. Fun and entertainment will be added with the design of your own table, judged by peers with a grand prize of admission to next years gala. In addition, to a few specialized exhibitors highlighting their brand, product, or service that helped make the event a reality.
Cancer is a word, not a sentence…
With the debut of A Night To Remember paying tribute to people dealing with cancer directly and indirectly, we made the decision to hold the gala at the start of our Health & Wellness Expo as a way to welcome or clients, build momentum, and pull a community together to celebrate the lives of family, friends, peers, and acquaintance dealing with caner and let them know they are not alone. With the introduction of the award of Heroes of Honor for male, female, and child at A Night To Remember we feel the gala has something for everyone.
As we celebrate our fifth anniversary of the Health & Wellness Expo, it gives us immense pride to introduce this gala, and to let the community know it will be a yearly event.
Nominations are by anyone residing in the province of Ontario, Canada. Nominating any male, female, or child dealing directly or indirectly with cancer past or present.
The submission process is the recipient’s name, and a paragraph on how cancer has affected the nominee directly or indirectly and how the effects of cancer were channeled in a positive direction that allowed the recipient to lead a productive healthy life motivating, educating, and inspiring a community by example.
The purpose is to share, educate, and inspire a community that cancer is a word, not a sentence. We are introducing the gala and these awards currently to recognize, appreciate, and admire the strength from within for fighting and never giving up while leading by example
The nomination process runs until April 10, 2022, following the review process by a panel of three judges acting independently with a selection of candidates on May 10, 2022. Awards will be received at A Night to Remember on Friday May 27, 2022.
Tickets for the evening will be introduced in two phases. Phase one, tickets are in group packages in the form of tables of eight, six, and four. Phases two, tickets will be sold single.
