From The BEAT's Biggest Loser...Adam!

Hello All,
We have succeeded in completing our 8 week program at Popeyes Gym! The numbers, including total weight loss, inch loss, muscle gain are fantastic.
A new 5X7 photo will soon be up, Thank Goodness!!!! Again I would like to thank everyone involved in this life altering experience, My wife Susie, personal trainer Mirela, Dan, LuAnne, Art, Wes and all the staff at Popeyes and the Beat. I hope this opportunity will be offered to others in the future and anyone that is fortunate enough to participate in it takes it and runs!!! Popeye's staff are very knowledgeable and motivating, always there to answer any and all questions one may have, from nutrition to exercise and anything else in-between.
Throughout the contest many things changed for me. Ultimately my weight was the obvious goal, endurance and stamina as well. What I didn't know was that my prospective and mind set was the first thing that I had to change.
Food. Easy right?
Easy until Wes took us to the grocery store. There I realized, or at least admitted that my eating habits were awful. My food choices were based on taste and convenience as opposed to nutrition and health. That has completely changed, I no longer eat for sport, I eat for fuel! The amount of food I consume is not measured by how hungry I feel but by the amount of energy, or fuel, I need. I love eating, always have, always will. Right now I love the way I feel more than I love eating. I still enjoy my meals, I have tried new healthy foods that fit my needs which include living a happy, healthy lifestyle, yet I haven't sacrificed taste, I have actually discovered food that looks and tastes great and yes is good for me!
Exercise, uh-oh.
My first impression of exercise, boring! I could think of a hundred ways to spend an hour of my day other than standing on a tread mill or step machine. Ironically that is still true, well sort of, instead of a tread mill or a stepper, a better way to spend an hour of my time is to say attend one of many fantastic classes offered at Popeyes! Step, Box fit, Fitness fusion, Spin and the sexiest exercise Zumba! These were an important part of my exercise routine. I did run on the tread mill, and used the stepper, both are great cardio workouts, but the classes were great and Fun with some of the best instructors you will ever meet!
Vitamins and Supplements...what?
These are very important to all of us. Of course these vary for everyone but important none the less and the staff at Popeyes are more than knowledgeable in this and many more areas! Accessible too! You will always find someone to help you, Ken is always there and always more than happy to help!
We the contestants did very well. We worked very hard and are very proud of ourselves and this is just the beginning!
Thanks again to everyone and Good luck to anyone who is considering weight loss, Its tough but worth it!!!
