Hello All!!!
Two weeks left, and boy is the competition heating up! Our last weigh-in also included our measurements, yet "they" have kept these new numbers from us! I know we have all lost some inches and a whole lot of pounds but the powers that be will not reveal the measurements.
Two weeks ago, after our weekly weigh-in, Chris at Popeye's Gym piled up several work out plates that equalled the amount of weight that we, the 6 contestants had lost. It took two of us to lift the total weight!!!!!! What an amazing feeling! I am so proud of all of us!
Mondays class was a treat. We were introduced to Art. Art is one of the many Excellent trainers at Popeye's. The Trainers are all very motivational and very unique in their teaching styles, yet the results and intensity are comparable! Oh did I say Intensity!! What's another word for intense?....Hmmm...oh yeah, ART!
This young man is amazing! He is able to work us to the point of vomiting, swearing and crying while maintaining a very lovable and encouragable tone in his voice and smile on his face. For 50 minutes we sweat, moan and grimmis in pain almost begging that this session will come to an end, yet when its done we excitedly walk over to Art, high five him, and say Thanks!!!
These feelings of appreciation are common with all of our wonderful trainers, LuAnne, Dan, Art, Anita, Mirela my personal trainer ;), and everyone else at Popeye's.
After Mondays class, Michelle wanted us to participate in an ab work out with her. We were all very tired yet we tried. I'm not sure if it was the exercise or the laughing that worked out my abs the most.
This little event consisted of 20 minutes of the most fun I have ever had at the gym. What a great group of people, we joked, made wise-cracks and poked a little fun at each other the whole time. It was a great reminder that we have been and will always be there for each other.
Everyone knows that weight loss and exercise is tough, even tougher on your own, but with a little help, some knowledge and a group of really good friends, anything is possible!
