We are over halfway done the competition and we have already come so far. I have come to realize that although this is a competition it means so much more to each of the contestants and myself. I can only speak for myself when I say that my eyes have been opened to alot of things that I did not know before. I am well aware now that this is a lifestyle change and not just an eight week competition.
For the six of us that entered this journey as strangers can look to each other now as friends or even family. I can honestly say that I depend on the support from each of them for different reasons. They motivate me, they are there to listen, they are there to be my workout buddy and they are their to see me through the hard times. I am sure alot of people can understand what this journey means to us but right now no one understands better then my fellow contestants.
I want to say to each of them that I am grateful to be going through this journey with them. I couldn't ask for 5 better companions. When this is all said and done I hope that all of them feel like they have won b/c they have come so far already. Each of you are truly amazing!
Okay, that's enough of the sentimental crap! For everyone that's sitting at home on the couch, regardless of your shape, size or weight. Get up off the couch and get in to the gym. There is alot of reasons to be there. Weight loss doesn't need to be your primary goal. Even if you are not over weight there is alot to gain from being healthy and balanced. I have learned a alot about how important your core strength is from my trainer Peter. Everything centres from that, including your balance. I am a clumsy individual so I can definitely use help with my balance (I think my fellow contestants can attest to my clumsiness).
For myself, I haven't lost alot of weight but I have see a major difference in inches and the changing of the shape of my body. Who doesn't want to tone up?
